Oakland Acupuncture Project: Community Reiki Clinic & New Point of the Month
Point of the Month!
We took a little hiatus, but the point of the month is back. This month’s point is Gallbladder 34, or Yang Ling Quan (translated to Yang Mound Spring), and it is one of Sarah’s favorites. Check out Our Latest Blog to see why Sarah uses this point on almost every patient, and how she connects it to pain, inflammation, and decision fatigue.
Community Reiki Clinic
March 16th and 30th our friend Val will be offering 15-30 minute community Reiki sessions in Oakland. These sessions are By RSVP Only, so make sure to book soon.
Val invites you to take a pause from everything. Engage in Reiki self-care, receive a gentle touch from a Reiki practitioner in a seated or reclined position. Rest and allow Reiki to decrease blood pressure, address fatigue, restore energy, and encourage a good night’s rest. Spend time doing nothing; receive everything. See below for more details:
Must RSVP by email or phone: valeriekyee@gmail.com / 510-301-2391
Date / Time: March 16th and 30th from 11:30am-1pm

3 Ways to Relieve Pain without Drugs
Regular acupuncture is a great tool to assist you on your pain management journey, but regular self care can go a long way too. For some tips on how heat, self massage, and topicals can help reduce pain, check out a recent write up titled 3 Ways to Relieve Pain Without Drugs by one of our newest acupuncturists, Emery.
Global Day of Unplugging March 1st-2nd
Most of us love our cell phones and electronic devices — maybe a little too much? Excessive daily screen time has been associated with high stress, low mood, neck pain, and eye strain. Join us for a day of digital detox from sundown on Friday, March 1st to sundown on Saturday March 2nd, and visit our cozy phone-free clinics for a restorative acupuncture treatment. For more information, check out the Global Day of Unplugging Website.
